Bank Account Linking
See all articlesHow do I link my bank account?
There are two ways to fund your Tradesk brokerage account – linking your bank account via Plaid to deposit via ACH transfer, or wiring in funds by initiating a wire at your bank.
You’ll be prompted with a deposit method menu after opening a new brokerage account and having it approved, or choosing “Deposit” from the upper right hand drop-down menu within the desktop site or app.
Select “ACH” to proceed with linking your bank account through our app. Once your bank account is linked, you’ll be able to make free and easy deposits and withdrawals through our app between your Tradesk brokerage account and your bank account.
Please note:
The account name on your bank account must match the account name on your Tradesk brokerage account. We do not support linking business, trust, or third-party bank accounts at this time. You may also want to check with your bank to ensure your account supports ACH transfers.
After clicking “ACH”, choose “+Link New Bank Account”. From there, you’ll be prompted to choose your bank, enter your online banking username and password, and select the bank account you’d like to link.
Once your bank account has been linked successfully, you’ll receive an email notification that you’re ready for your first deposit!
Why can’t I link my bank account?
If you’re experiencing an error linking your bank account, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
• Your bank account name may not match your Tradesk brokerage account name
• Your bank account doesn’t support ACH transfers
• Your bank account is frozen or restricted by your bank
For any bank account linking issues, you may want to reach out to your bank representative for more information.

To avoid ACH transfer reversals, make sure that your bank account maintains sufficient funds to cover your deposit until you receive confirmation that the deposit has been completed. How do I make a wire transfer into my Tradesk account?
In order to initiate an incoming wire into your Tradesk brokerage account, you will need to submit the wire transfer request via your bank’s app, website, or bank representative. The following bank account information will be required.
You can find the wire instructions further below in this article, or via the app!
How to wire in funds to your Tradesk brokerage account:
1. Tap the Me page (icon of a person) -> select Deposit, or access the Deposit page via the 3 bars at the upper right corner
2. Select Wire as the deposit method
3. Provide your bank with the wire instructions listed on the following page
4. Clicking Continue and entering your banking information will provide us with a notification to monitor for an incoming wire
Note:
The “Submit Deposit Notification” page only alerts us of an incoming wire. We are unable to initiate the wire on your behalf. The wire itself would need to be initiated and submitted by your bank or institution.
The following are our incoming wire instructions for wires into your Tradesk brokerage account:

Are there incoming wire fees?
Our clearing firm does not charge fees for incoming wires. However, you may be subject to fees according to the policy of your remitting bank and the intermediary bank.
How long does it take for a wire to post to my account?
Wire transfer processing times may depend on your bank or institution’s cutoff time. Typically, wire transfers can take about 1-2 business days to process. The funds from your incoming wire will be posted to your account the following business day after it has been received.
Note that stock market holidays, bank holidays, and weekends would not be considered business days.
Keep in mind:
1. You must provide your full name and Tradesk account number in the description/comment.
2. Wire transfers must be initiated with your own personal bank account. We do not accept 3rd party wires, and all transactions must be in the same name. Third-party wires can be rejected and returned. A returned wire may incur bank fees which will be borne by the remitter.
3. For international wire transfers, you may be required to fill in either a Swift code or ABA code (routing number) depending on which bank you use.
4. Some platforms may automatically complete the blanks of beneficiary bank's information once you enter the Swift/ABA code. In that case, you may leave the auto-filled information as is.
5. International wire transfers may take up to 5 business days. Funds will be placed into your account the next business day after we receive the incoming funds.
Withdrawals
See all articlesHow do I withdraw funds from my Tradesk account?
If you’d like to initiate a withdrawal from your Tradesk brokerage account to your linked bank account, follow the below steps via the Tradesk app:
1. Select the Me page (person icon), then click the 3 bars at the upper right hand corner
2. Tap Withdraw. Your default linked bank account will be displayed at the top
3. Enter your desired withdrawal amount, ensuring sufficient funds are available
4. Tap Review, and then proceed in order to submit your withdrawal request
Once you have submitted your withdrawal request, please allow 3-5 business days for processing.
Keep in mind:
• Withdrawal requests can only be processed to a linked bank account with the same name as the securities account. If the account registrations do not match, this may cause issues with processing your request.
• Withdrawals requests can only be processed on business days. Stock market holidays, bank holidays, and weekends would not be considered business days.
• The Withdraw menu is only supported via the app at this time. This functionality is coming soon via the web version.
Cash Available for Withdrawal
There are several factors that can affect how much cash is available to withdraw from your account. These include:
• Trade settlement timelines
• Pending buys or sells of securities
• Unposted fees or margin interest
• Withdrawal holds or restrictions
Because of these variables, your available cash may not update in real time.
For example, after selling a stock, the trade will need to settle before you can withdraw funds. Different markets may have different settlement timeframes. Hong Kong and U.S. equities and options are currently implementing a T+1 settlement system. This is commonly referred to as regular way settlement. After a trade subject to T+1 settlement, your proceeds would become available to withdraw on the 2nd day.
Pending orders can also affect the amount of cash available for withdrawal. If you have orders pending, please make sure there is sufficient cash to cover both your pending orders and your desired withdrawal amount.
You may also have fees or margin interest pending posting to your account which can affect your available cash for withdrawal. For any questions regarding your cash available, please contact our team.
Cancelling a withdrawal
If you’d like to cancel your withdrawal request, please email our team at support@tradesk.co and we can assist with cancelling the request provided it is not already in process.
If the cutoff time has already passed, the withdrawal is already processing and we may not be able to cancel it for you. In this case, you will need to wait for the funds to transfer to your bank and re-initiate a deposit back to your Tradesk brokerage account.
Are there withdrawal fees?
If you choose to withdraw funds via ACH transfer, there are no withdrawal fees charged by Tradesk. However, please check if there are any additional fees charged by your bank.
If you choose to withdraw funds via outgoing wire transfer, our clearing firm charges $30 for an outgoing domestic wire, and $50 for an outgoing international wire.
Please note that all bank charges will be deducted from the withdrawal transfer amount.
Why can't I withdraw my cash immediately?
Your cash available to withdraw may be less than your available cash balance for the following potential reasons:
Withdrawal Holding Period
If you deposit funds via ACH, that deposit will need to remain in your account for a minimum of 7 business days. If you deposit funds via wire transfer, this withdrawal holding period does not apply.
Settlement Period
Funds will not become available to withdraw before they have fully settled. Stock, ETF, and options trades currently settle on a T+1 basis.
Required Margin Maintenance
NYSE/FINRA rules require investors to maintain a certain minimum amount of equity in their margin account at all times.
Pending Orders & Frozen Funds
The funds used towards pending open orders may be locked in your trading account and would not be available for withdrawal.
Are there any fees associated with check distributions?
Currently, we only offer domestic check distribution via overnight mail. There is a $55 fee charged by our clearing firm per overnight mail domestic check distribution request.
Will I be charged for a returned check or wire?
Incoming ACH or check transfers can be reversed for multiple reasons, such as insufficient funds, frozen bank accounts, transaction limits, or mismatches in account names.
To avoid transfer reversals, make sure that your bank account maintains sufficient funds to cover your deposit until you receive confirmation that the deposit has been completed. You can also check with your bank representative to make sure your bank account supports ACH transfers, is unfrozen, and doesn’t have any transaction limits.
If an ACH or check transfer is returned, there is a fee incurred of $30 per transaction.
For any questions regarding an incurred reversal, reach out to your bank or bank representative for more information.
